The mission of Sveriges Television (SVT), Sveriges Radio and Sveriges Utbildningsradio (educational broadcasting, UR) is to provide the people of Sweden with everything from news and documentaries to entertainment and education – in an impartial and objective manner.

All who pays the radio and TV fee contributes to radio and television that is free from commercial and political influence in SVT, Swedish Radio and UR. In 2012, the fee is 2076 SEK per year.
